APS Commercial Programs
APS Commercial Programs serves nearly five million members through relationships with more than 900 employers, health plans, third-party administrators (TPAs) and Taft-Hartley Trust Funds. By focusing on the unique needs of these market segments, APS has been successful in creating and implementing programs that help its customers improve the quality of care and manage cost.
APS Commercial Programs’ success is largely attributable to its use of proven behavior modification techniques to provide a well-rounded approach to improving individual health, wellness and productivity. APS Public Programs
APS Healthcare is one of the largest healthcare services companies in the public programs area, serving clients responsible for more than 40 percent of the nation's Medicaid population through nearly 40 programs in more than 20 states. The Public Programs division delivers specialty healthcare administrative services to support utilization management, disease management, behavioral health, EQRO and other quality improvement endeavors across a diverse set of beneficiary populations.
APS Public Programs offers dedicated experience in delivering customized programs that are customer and program focused, rather than product focused. A core part of APS’ operating philosophy is the use of a decentralized staffing model designed specifically around the needs of the program. APS Puerto Rico
APS is the largest managed behavioral healthcare provider in Puerto Rico. APS Puerto Rico serves more than one million members in public and private programs throughout the island.
In the public space, APS is the largest provider of behavioral heath services to the government of Puerto Rico’s Medicaid program. This unique behavioral health model covers several regions throughout the island and involves a provider network of about 300 professionals and a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic system that is operated by APS.
Serving the commonwealth since 1999, APS has become an important contributor to Puerto Rico’s healthcare system and has increased the number of individuals it serves each year. The APS system currently serves more than 100,000 active patients. In the past four years, APS has increased access to mental health services by more than 50 percent and in 2006, delivered more than 600,000 patient services.
