Absence Management
Employee absence costs employers up to 15 percent of the company’s annual payroll. To more effectively manage these costs, employers need a partner with experience in assessing and positively impacting the cost of employee absence in the workplace. APS Healthcare offers one of the most comprehensive suites of absence management programs available in the industry, branded Healthy at Work…Total Absence Management.

Absence tracking and reporting
Employees are absent from work for a variety of reasons. Using a sophisticated, Web-based analytic program, APS provides employers with detailed absence management tracking and reporting in coordination with the payroll system. APS also analyzes absence trends and provides recommendations on programs the employer can implement to reduce absenteeism and improve productivity.
FMLA management and reporting
Since the passing of the FMLA in 1993, employers have struggled with its administrative provisions. Most employers who attempt to administer the program internally experience difficulty maintaining compliance, identifying FMLA qualifying absences and monitoring leave activities. APS ensures customers are compliant with these complex regulations and offers employers a program that identifies and manages absences falling under FMLA.
Short-term disability management
Disability has both mental and physical components. APS’ short-term disability management program uses a holistic case management approach that focuses on addressing the medical and behavioral healthcare needs of employees who are absent due to a disability and facilitates a timely return to work.
APS’ multi-disciplinary team of medical and psychiatric case managers and medical directors work together with other practitioners, including physicians, therapists, employer and insurers, to develop and implement a realistic plan that will promote recovery and expedite the employee's return to work. This unique mind-body approach has enabled APS to achieve industry-leading results in managing disability.
