Cancer is a very serious disease that affects people in multiple ways. APS Healthcare assists breast, colon, lung and prostate cancer patients through every stage of their illness. APS’ focus is to help members familiarize themselves on the proper care and management of their illness. APS helps to ensure members have an understanding of all the different aspects involved with having cancer, including treatment options, managing side effects such as pain and fatigue, good nutrition, having supportive care, communicating with others, and dealing with emotional, financial and legal concerns.

In most cases, treatment for cancer can greatly improve the quality of life, and in some cases, cure the disease. APS advises members on the treatment options that are available and works collaboratively with healthcare providers to empowered members to make informed decisions.
