APS Healthcare Grows Health Management Business

APS Healthcare, one of the country's leading specialty healthcare companies, announced today that seven new customers have selected APS to provide their health management programs starting January 1st. These customers will add more than 160,000 new covered lives to APS' growing health management book of business. Each new customer selected APS after a rigorous, competitive bid process. APS distinguished itself from its competitors through the company's unsurpassed experience using behavioral change techniques to motivate individuals to better manage their health. APS' flexible program design and delivery model was also frequently cited during the selection process.

APS' new health management customers include leaders in the energy, telecommunications, healthcare and manufacturing industries. Health management is one of APS' core business lines and is comprised of a broad portfolio of services including health and wellness, utilization management/utilization review, disease management and case management. APS currently provides health management programs to a host of private and public sector customers on a national basis, representing more than 2.5 million covered lives.
