APS Healthcare to Provide
Utilization Review Services for Alabama Medicaid
APS Healthcare, one of the country’s leading specialty healthcare companies, announced today that it has received a contract to provide utilization review services for the Alabama Medicaid Agency. Under the contract, APS will perform prior authorization review and associated medical criteria development; long-term care utilization review, including hospice pre-certification, hospice concurrent review and retrospective review of institutional admissions; and quality and outcome review.
