One of the company’s most notable differentiators is its APS CareConnection® technology platform. This proprietary platform collects authorization and quality improvement data via the Intranet, and provides that data to authorized care management participants in full compliance with HIPAA requirements. This system reduces administrative tasks for healthcare providers and maintains a complete medical record for every patient. APS’ health coaches and care managers use the member’s complete medical record to review a member’s entire course of care instead of isolated treatment.

APS Public Programs was recognized by the Disease Management Association of America (DMAA) in 2005 as having the best government disease management program in the United States for its landmark partnership with the state of Wyoming, where APS has exceeded all financial and clinical performance measures. In 2006, DMAA recognized APS Public Programs' Georgia Enhanced Care Program as having outstanding provider engagement for its partnerships with the Morehouse School of Medicine’s National Center for Primary Care and other healthcare providers in the state.
